COVID-19: Disruptions in International Shipments (UPDATED: 2022-05-19)
International shipments are currently experiencing disruptions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Japan Post (updated on 2022-05-19)
Japan Post announced a temporary suspension of acceptance and delivery delays of mail items destined to various countries/territories from April 2, 2020.
According to Japan Post, this suspension is caused by measures such as the suspension of international mail, conducted due to the spread of the new coronavirus and because of the substantial reduction in flight frequencies and cancellations of flights between Japan and certain countries. There also has be an announcement that there is a high possibility of delays regarding the packages destined to the countries which are not subject to the suspension.

2022-05-20: EMS resumed to Ukraine and Belgium.
2022-03-08: Because of EU aviation-related sanctions to Russia, unfortunately, Japan Post had to stop Air and EMS shipments to the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Finland, Belgium and other regions (* ePacket, FedEx, DHL and Surface shipping are still available to some countries).
2022-03-02: Air and EMS shipments stopped to Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Luxembourg, Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria and some other regions.
2022-02-25: All shipping services towards Ukraine are stopped.
2022-01-26: Japan post stopped all services towards Russia.
Surface Seamail (Funabin) has been discontinued to Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Estonia, Belarus and Tonga.
2021-10-15: Airmail and EMS shipments to Italy, Israel and United Arab Emirates have stopped. Changes have also been made to services in some other countries and regions.
2021-05-19: EMS shipments resumed operations towards the United States
2021-05-18: Japan post stopped all services towards Canada
FedEx International Economy has been temporarily suspended since March, 30.
All shipments via FedEx were switched to FedEx International Priority.
