Important Notice: changes in our optional services


From June 11, 2018, we implement changes in our optional services.

1. Package Consolidation Service fee is FREE now (before update: 500 yen)
Send all your items together at no extra cost! It's never been simpler to get all the Japanese items you want with Remambo.

2. Protective Packaging Service is suspended
We remove this optional service and introduce a new service instead.

3. New optional service: Repackaging Service
This service is for those, who want us to remove seller's packaging or those, who are concerned about the packaging of fragile or important items.

Please check detailed description of Repackaging Service.

We will continue to improve our service based on customer feedback.

All changes will apply to all shipments instructed after June 11, 2018 at 20:00 (JST).

Japan's National Holiday (Golden Week) Notice


Dear Remambo customers!

From April 30 to May 6, there will be a series of consecutive national holidays in Japan (Golden Week).

Remambo works as usual, however, inquiries from customers may take a longer time to be responded by customer support staff.

Please also be informed that due to closure of banks and some shipping companies in Japan during the holiday period, transactions with sellers and shipping may be delayed as well.

Also, courier delivery services companies may not collect shipments during this week.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know. Thank you for your understanding.

Shipping delays due to snowfall


Due to snowfall in our region for several days, Japan Post and other transport companies experiencing delays with deliveries and collecting parcels for international shipping.

For this reason, the shipment of some packages has been delayed.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

National Holiday: Monday 8th of January - Non-Business Day


Since 8th of January is a national holiday in Japan (Coming of Age Day), our customer service team and warehouse will not be operating.

You can place your auction bids and shopping orders as normal.

About our Christmas and New Year's schedule


Some of Remambo services will be temporarily suspended for the Christmas and New Year holiday.

Holiday:
December 25, 2017 - December 28, 2017
January 1, 2018 - January 3, 2018


The following services will be suspended during this time:

- Buying any new items that are added to your shopping cart during the holiday.
- Packing and shipping any items that have already been purchased.
- Receiving packages from the sellers at our warehouse.

During the holiday, our website will work as usual, but we won't be able to purchase or ship items on your behalf until we return on January 4th, 2018. You can still add items to your cart and use other automatic functions of our website.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your understanding. Happy New Year!

Notice of SAL delivery problems to some countries


Japan Post publicly announced on Dec 15, 2017 that there is a shipping delay for SAL (both Small Packets and International Parcels) to below countries.

Therefore, SAL shipments to the following countries are temporarily suspended. There is a possibility that some already shipped SAL parcels may be returned, in this case, shipping fees will be refunded.

France
Netherlands
Spain
Ukraine
Greece
Czech Republic
Brazil
Peru

Japan Post doesn't know when this problem will be resolved, but we will keep you informed.

Since 3rd of November is a national holiday in Japan (Culture Day), our customer service team and warehouse will not be operating.

International shipping delayed to EU and some other countries


Due to a sorting machine breakdown in Amsterdam, airmail packages to some European, South American, and African countries will be delayed. The machine is expected to be repaired in two weeks time. Delivery is also expected to take more than two weeks.

Use currency of your country when paying with credit or debit card


There used to be two major problems using credit/debit cards for payments on Japanese websites:

1) Currency exchange rates usually were high, as they were determined by your card's Bank.
2) Final payment amount was not clear until you receive a final charge from your Bank after several days.

Considering these two problems, we've launched a new credit/debit card payment system.

You can choose your preferred currency for card billing of your authorised credit card or before adding funds to your deposit, so you will know right away the final amount of money in your local currency that is going to be charged.

Moreover, from now currency exchange will be made according to Stripe payment company rates, which are usually lower than one's Bank has.

Obon Summer holidays in Japan


Dear Remambo customers,

Please note that during the Obon holidays in Japan, Remambo will be on vacation for the period starting from August 11th through August 18th, 2017.

There is a possibility that some sellers / distributors will not ship products during this time. This can affect Yahoo auctions as well as other sites.

In these cases, it may take longer than usual for your orders to reach our warehouse. We ask for your kind understanding in this matter.

We are happy to announce that Remambo.jp is now available in Russian. The entire site and members area has been translated, and we have Russian speaking staff available for customer support as well. If you’d like to change your default language to Russian, just use the language selector in the top menu or in your account profile.

Regarding sending parcels as a "gift"


Please be noted about following changes from 7th June 2017:

* Remambo stops marking international parcels as a gift. From now we mark all parcels only as merchandise.

[Resolved] Unable to pay via PayPal


We had problems with automatic PayPal payments due to a technical failure on the PayPal servers.

18:30 on April 25th to 10:30 on April 26th (JST).

Now the problem is resolved.

New feature: Auction Sniper Bids


Sniper bid enables you to place a bid 5 minutes before an auction ends at your desired bidding price.

[Resolved] Unable to Access Yahoo! Auctions and Yahoo! Shopping Service


We had problems with access to the Yahoo! Japan Auctions and Yahoo! Japan Shopping due to a technical failure on the original Yahoo! Japan’s server.

Notice Regarding International Shipping Rate Changes


Starting June 1st, 2016, in accordance to changes made by the Japan Post, the rates for international shipping methods (EMS, Surface) will change as follows:

1) EMS (International express mail) rates will increase by 300-500 yen.
--- The initial shipping weight classification has increased from 300g to 500g.
2) Surface (Seamail) shipping rates for Zone 1 (East Asia) will increase by 100-1,550 yen.

New shipping method - SAL Small Packet


Thank you for using Remambo.

We’re happy to inform you that, due to popular demand, our customers can now have their packages shipped by SAL Small Packets.

Slower than EMS, but considerably cheaper. This service is more economical for shipping small articles. Please refer to details about limits on Shipping Methods Page.

About the operating hours during Golden Week


Japan Standard Time 2015/5/2 (Sat) ~2015/5/6(Wed) is Japanese Golden Week.

Remambo Service will operate as usual during Golden Week but Remambo Customer Support Team will take more time than usual to reply emails.
Furthermore, all of banks in Japan and some of the logistics company will be on a break during Golden Week so it will take more time to trade with sellers.
